PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - No. 10 UW-Platteville Men's Basketball fell to No. 25 Saint John's (Minn.) 71-55 on Saturday night to move to .500 overall.
The Pioneers (1-1 overall) couldn't overcome The Johnnies (2-1 overall) hot shooting during the second half of the game. The Johnnies shot 61.9 percent (13-for-21) from the field and 50 percent (5-for-10) from 3-point range in the second half to extend their 27-22 halftime lead.
Robert Duax was the lone Pioneer in double figures and finished with 21 points and 3 steals. Duax was 8-for-9 from the free throw line.
Justin Fox saw his first action of the season and played an efficient 15 minutes. Fox finished with 7 points (2-for-2 shooting) and 6 rebounds.
The Pioneers took care of the ball and limited themselves to 10 turnovers while forcing 18 turnovers.
The Johnnies' David Stokman, Jubie Alade, Oakley Baker and Lucas Walford each scored in double figures and combined for 52 points.
The Pioneers head to Simpson for a 7 PM game on Tuesday, November 20th.
