Foley and Johnson earn preseason All-American accolades

University of Wisconsin-Platteville record-breaking senior wide receiver Mark Johnson and senior punter Connor Foley earn preseason All-American honors.  Johnson and Foley both earned the nod from Street & Smith Magazine with Johnson also being named to the Third Team Offense.

In the 2017 season, Johnson totaled 93 receptions and 1,218 receiving yards, both UW-Platteville single season highs. The Johnston, Iowa product had nine or more catches in seven of the Pioneers' 10 games, and recorded 150+ receiving yards four times. Johnson was also an All-WIAC Second Team (2x) member and made the All-West Region Second Team.

Last season, Foley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa earned the All-West Region First Team along with his First Team All-WIAC selection. Foley's 41.3 yards per punt led the WIAC and is the second highest single season average in school history.

The Pioneers report for preseason camp on Aug. 9 with the 2018 season's first kickoff scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 30 in Marshal, Texas at Eastern Texas Baptist University.
