The 2019 National Girls and Women in Sports Day will be held on Saturday, February 2.
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Athletic Department annually host the National Girls and Women in Sports Day in Williams Fieldhouse for girls in second through seventh grade.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, a two-hour sports clinic followed by pizza, beverage and autograph signing with Pioneer student-athletes and coaches and complimentary ticket to a UW-Platteville women's basketball game.
During the clinic, participants are divided into small groups and participate in six different stations. They will learn fundamental skills in such sports as basketball, cheerleading, golf, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball. Team-building sessions and lead-up games will also be provided. The UW-Platteville women's coaching staff, student athletes, cheerleaders and physical education staff will supervise the clinic.
Participants will also have free admission to the women's basketball game onSaturday, February 2.

Enter into the lobby and go to the concessions stand to check in. Participants should come dressed and ready to play. Please no black soled shoes on the floor.
Friday Jan. 25 is the deadline for registration. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this event, we suggest you pre-register. If space permits, you may register at the door ($20). T-shirts for walk-ins may not be the size preferred.
